Research & Development Manager

Our client is a leading FMCG company in central Java
for business to business industry, boasting a significant turnover and
excellent track record in Indonesia from both a business and human capital
perspective. With a remarkable market share locally, the organization is still
looking to implement an exceptional growth plan and ensure they have a
stringent process in place. To aid with this vision, our client is looking for
a strong Research & Development Manager (senior manager)who can contribute
to the success of the organization.
Description
The main responsibilities you will have include:
- Identify technology roadmap for target market (synthesis of technology push and market pull), both supporting Route-to-Market and Route-to-source strategies
- Agree on Program (account support, customer driven NPD, trend driven TL projects) in line with budget process and constraints
- People Management, including performance management & talent management (approx. 6 direct reports)
- Execute program by efficient resource planning, target setting and monitoring
- Act as project leader for large and/or strategic projects within technology or market scope
- Deliver project in accordance with stakeholders' needs, keeping project team and stakeholders fully informed of progress
- Support Sales Team during customer visits by explaining and demonstrating the quality and functionality of existing Ingredients.
- Be present during customer/segment seminars and exhibitions, explaining and demonstrating the functionality of the ingredients.
Profile
You are expected to have a unique blend of technical
and managerial skills combined with high levels strong R&D .It is also
crucial that you conduct yourself with high integrity and have an open,
collaborative communication style. In order to be successful in applying, you
must come with:
- Master in relevant discipline, preferable in food sciences
- 10-15 years development experience in relevant business
- Willing to be located at Central Java
- Entrepreneurial, pragmatic, champions multidisciplinary teamwork
- Good stakeholder management
- Excellent communication skills, easy leveling on different positions
- Market and customer oriented
