Group began its long and distinguished history as a plywood factory with PT
Hutrindo inception by Akie Setiawan in 1968.

its growth strategy, the company has subsequently formed other business entities
and alternative investments; one of them is ceramic business. PT Serinco
Djaya Marmer Industries was later established by bringing in machineries from
Italy, a country famous for its most technologically advanced machinery
for ceramics in the world. This progressive step led PT Serinco Djaya Marmer
Industries to become the pioneer of modern ceramic producer in Indonesia.
Over the
years, demand for electronics and home appliances become inevitable, in line
with the technology advancement and fast growing of middle-class group of
people. To meet ever-growing domestic demand and to carry consumer electronic
products under famous “Toshiba” brand, PT Topjaya Sarana Utama was
incorporated as the sole agent and PT Topjaya Antariksa as the sole manufacturer.
Currently,
under the leadership of Erik Setiawan (President Director and CEO), Topjaya
Group owns 10 well-established and progressive subsidiaries with 7
diversified industries, namely palm oil plantation, rubber plantation, coal
mining and trading, coal port operator, ceramic tiles, MDF, and home
appliance manufacturing and distribution. The company believes in empowering
the nation by giving back and sharing its recourses with others in need.
