Position
MANAGER, COMMERCIALIZATION
Purpose
& Overall Relevance for the Organization:
- Fully accountable for commercialization, product integrity, manufacturability, performance to target FOB of all product categories at the assigned Production Factory
Key
Responsibilities:
- Manage commercialization process for all categories in the assigned production factory in collaboration with Tier 1 factory personnel and technical teams. Provides specific technical expertise to ensure effective commercialization of prototype samples to mass production while ensuring the manufacturability, efficiency and cost to target are met.
- Proactively collaborate and influence the Centralized Development Center ensuring that Create to Value approach and product integrity is at the paramount priority and focus.
- Supervise Factory personnel in continuous upgrades of technical applications and processes and implementation of new technology in Development and Engineering.
- Work proactively with Production, Category Team Leader at Centralized Development Center and factories in ensuring on time and quality commercialization of all product at the assigned Production Factory
- Explain product requirements and standards to factory and/or LO (Liaison Office) teams to achieve shared goals.
- Influence factory production technical head and drive change using technical knowledge with core focus on product integrity.
- Operationally, fully accountable for commercialization area with predefined scope of responsibilities.
- Make day to day decisions within defined scope (with support on complex issues)
- Execute defined directives.

- Other GOPS – Global Operations / Sourcing functions –costing, Material, Planning, Product Testing, Quality/Laboratory
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Have development and engineering knowledge and expertise and can provide input into projects
- Have a strong engineering and quality mind-set.
- With minimal input and feedback, can identify problems and provide solutions to complex commercialization and production issues
- No direct report but can manage Factory staffs effectively.
- Good written and verbal English communication.
Requisite
Education and Qualifications:
- University degree preferably on shoe making or engineering.
- 5+ year production, development or related experience in Footwear industry.
- Passion and interest in athletic competition, sports or fitness related activities
- Production, quality or development/ commercialization costing/planning background
- Good knowledge of shoes manufacturing process.
- Experience in pattern engineering, mold making, grading, materials processing etc
- Ability to read shell patterns, 2D and 3D blueprints, spec sheets, cost breakdowns, etc
- Good understanding of costing principles and process; ability to decipher cost breakdown related to products
